Favorites, Sidebar, and Trash
The sidebar is your map of the workspace. Use Favorites for active work, All Media and Uncategorized for library cleanup, and Trash when something was deleted by mistake.
Add Favorites
You can favorite Galleries, Shares, and Tags.
- Right-click the item or open its action menu.
- Choose Add to Favorites.
- Open the Favorites section in the sidebar to return to it.
- Choose Remove from Favorites when the shortcut is no longer useful.
Favoriting does not copy or move content. It adds a shortcut to the existing item.
Customize the sidebar
Open the sidebar context menu and choose Customize Sidebar. You can reorder the Favorites, Collections, and Galleries sections and hide sections you do not need. At least one section remains visible. Save or leave customization mode when the order is right.
On smaller screens, open the sidebar to navigate and close it again for more working space. The sidebar can also be resized on desktop.
Understand All Media and Uncategorized
- All Media shows Media across the workspace, regardless of Gallery.
- Uncategorized shows Media that are not currently assigned to a Gallery.
- Moving Media to Uncategorized removes its Gallery placement without deleting the file.
- Drag Uncategorized Media into a Gallery, or select it and choose Move to, to organize it.
Use filters, list view, sorting, and selection actions to clean up larger result sets.
Restore deleted work from Trash
Open Trash
Choose Trash from the sidebar or account menu. Framebird lists deleted Galleries and their Media and shows how many days remain before permanent deletion.
Choose what to restore
Open an item’s menu and choose Restore, or select several eligible items and use the bulk Restore action.
Check the restored location
Restored Media return to an eligible Gallery relationship. Restoring a Gallery also restores its eligible Media. If a parent Gallery was deleted or is no longer available, the restored Gallery is detached from that parent so it remains accessible.
Trash is temporary. Once the displayed retention period ends, the item is permanently removed and cannot be restored from the app.
Before deleting a Gallery
Deleting a Gallery also sends the Media it owns to Trash. Removing a Gallery from a Collection is different: it removes only that Collection relationship and does not delete the Gallery or its Media. Read the confirmation dialog carefully when working with a bulk selection.
