Manage and Review Media
After upload, Framebird gives you one workflow for organizing, checking, and delivering Media. Most actions are available from the top action bar or the right-click menu.
Select and organize Media
Choose one or more items
Click Select, drag across grid items, or use the checkbox on a tile. Use Select all, Deselect all, or Invert selection for larger sets.
Run an action
Use the action bar or right-click the selection. Depending on the content, you can Download, Share, Set Tags, Copy to, Move to, Duplicate, Rename, or Delete.
Choose the destination
For Copy to and Move to, pick a Gallery. Copy keeps the original relationship. Move removes the Media from the current Gallery after adding it to the destination.
Change the order and layout
Use the sort menu for filename, upload date, file details, or custom order. With custom order selected, drag Media into the sequence you want. Grid controls let you switch among the available grid, flow, masonry, and list layouts and choose which file details appear.
Inspect details
Open the info panel for filenames, dimensions, file size, upload details, extracted colors, and available EXIF data. You can edit the Media name, apply Tags, and add a private metadata note. Private metadata notes stay in your workspace and are different from Note items that you intentionally add to a Gallery.
GPS data appears only when the file contains it. A Share shows EXIF or position data only when the Share owner enables those settings.
Preview one item with Quick Look
Select one Media item and press Space, or choose Quick Look from its menu. Quick Look opens a fast preview without losing your place in the grid. Release Space or close the overlay to return.
Compare several items
- Select at least two Media items.
- Press Space or choose the preview action.
- Toggle filenames, review status, EXIF, and synchronized zoom as needed.
- Change the background to judge edges or transparency.
- Choose Save JPEG if you need a snapshot of the comparison.
Compare View is useful for near-duplicates, retouching checks, and side-by-side client selections.
Monitor new uploads with Live View
Open a Gallery and choose Live View. Framebird switches to the newest Media as it arrives, which works well for live shoots or kiosk displays. You can include Sub-Galleries and play a sound when new Media appears.
Download or delete
- Select Media and choose Download to save originals or the available delivery version.
- Delete sends Media to Trash instead of removing it immediately.
- Open Trash to see the remaining retention time and restore eligible Media.
- Deleting a Gallery also moves its Media to Trash. Restoring the Gallery restores Media that are still within their retention window.
Before a bulk move or delete, review the selection count and destination in the confirmation dialog.
If a preview is not ready
Processing can continue after the upload finishes. Wait for the thumbnail or reopen the Media later. Unsupported preview formats remain downloadable even when Framebird shows a generic file icon.
